Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English Language and Literature programme at Xiamen University Malaysia aims to arouse students’ curiosity and interest in language learning while cultivating their creativity, imagination, and cooperative ability, nurturing them into all-round developed individuals. This programme provides solid background training on English language, literature, cultures, and gives students room for self-development. Through experience in different kinds of activities such as journal writing, communicative presentations, discussions, seminars, speeches, and drama performances, it is expected that students will become capable, determined individuals who contribute to society.

Entry Requirements:

• STPM: A pass in STPM with at least a Grade C (GP 2.00) in any 2 subjects or its equivalent, and a credit in English in SPM or its equivalent.
• A-LEVEL: A pass in A-Level with at least a Grade D in any 2 subjects, AND a credit in English in SPM or its equivalent.
• UEC: A pass in UEC with a minimum of Grade B in any 5 subjects, including English.
• Foundation/Matriculation: A pass in Foundation/Matriculation with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 or its equivalent, and a credit in English in SPM or its equivalent.
• Diploma: A Diploma (Level 4, MQF) with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 or its equivalent, and a credit in English in SPM or its equivalent.
• English Proficiency: IELTS - at least Band 6, or MUET - at least Band 4, or its equivalent.
