The Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics with Placement Year program at the University of Southampton Malaysia offers students a comprehensive and accredited 4-year degree focused on business analytics. This program provides students with specialized skills to assist organizations in understanding their customers and making informed business decisions through data analysis. In addition to a solid education in business, students also gain valuable hands-on experience by participating in a year-long work placement. The core or compulsory modules students undertake will be determined based on their A level results, ensuring a tailored curriculum. Throughout the program, students develop mathematical skills necessary to extract insights from various data sources, including the internet and social media. By combining theoretical knowledge with practical experience, graduates of this program are well-equipped to contribute to organizations by leveraging data-driven approaches for business growth and success.
Compulsory modules cover accounting and practical management skills. They draw on different disciplines to explore the development of business concepts and key technologies, giving you greater insight into the contemporary business world.

You'll study a number of specialist core and compulsory modules with a data analytics focus. These cover topics such as forecasting, simulation, optimisation, data mining and knowledge management.

This is your paid industry business analytics placement year. You'll spend a minimum of 32 weeks working in a real business. You'll learn new skills, apply the knowledge you've already acquired, and gain work experience that will boost your future career.
