  • Fashion Contexts - how eras and events, contemporary influencers and the media have impacted the current fashion landscape
  • Introduction to Business - the concepts and principles of the fashion business
  • Fashion Styling and Creative Practice
  • Consumer Intelligence - behaviour and trends

Year 2 overview

You’ll take 4 core modules to advance your existing skills and knowledge. Topics include:

  • Product Management
  • Trend Forecasting
  • Creative Strategy - the fusion of strategy and creativity in fashion
  • Retail Futures- fashion retailing and future developments in the changing retail landscape

 You’ll choose another module from a broad range of topic options:

  • Business Skills for the Creative Industries
  • Creative Futures - exploring democratic forms of innovation, including collaborative and environmental practices, activism, social innovation and economic sustainability
  • Creative Writing
  • Image and Branding - issues, terminology and trends in branding
  • Visual Culture - the role of images in the construction of identity, and the ways in which we understand the world around us

You can also choose to spend a semester at a partner university in Europe, Canada or Hong Kong to explore fashion from a global perspective.

Year 3 overview

You’ll consolidate your experience by producing a final marketing project. This is a body of work that illustrates the knowledge and skills you’ve learned, and aligns to your career ambitions. This will be a valuable addition to your professional portfolio.

Your final modules will equip you with the knowledge needed to work in the fashion business, specifically:

  • Critical Issues - understanding the factors that determine a business’s success or failure
  • Professional Planning - how to enter the workplace
