The Foundation in Science (Medical Sciences) program at UCSI University Malaysia is specifically designed for students who aspire to pursue careers in medicine, nursing, and optometry. The program provides a specialized foundation pathway that prepares students for the intellectual rigor and intensity of these degrees. From the beginning, students are taught and mentored by esteemed professors, ensuring a high-quality education.

The foundation pathway focuses on developing a strong foundation in Science and Mathematics subjects, including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. These subjects are essential prerequisites for medical and healthcare studies. Additionally, the program offers special focus areas that provide students with additional exposure to the medical sciences and important soft skills needed in the healthcare industry.

Entry Requirements

• SPM/O-Level: 5 credits with Bs in Mathematics/Additional Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and one more subject (C minimum for Bahasa Malaysia & English for Pharmacy program).
• Equivalent qualifications: Overall average of 65% with 65% scores in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Mathematics.
• Acceptance subject to professional bodies' approval (Malaysian Medical Council and Malaysian Pharmacy Board).
