The Bachelor of Contemporary Music (Hons) at UCSI University Malaysia  focuses on versatility and hands-on experience in a range of genres. Students develop aesthetic vision and analytical skills to navigate the evolving music industry. Faculty members, who are industry professionals, provide guidance. The program encourages students to drive change and make a mark in the field.

Music Audition Requirements 

• Performance audition: The audition lasts 15 minutes, taking place at least one month before the semester starts.
• Memorization: Memorizing the pieces is strongly encouraged for scholarship applicants.
• Piece selection: Applicants should prepare three contrasting contemporary pieces, preferably from genres like jazz, pop, rock, Latin, or other popular styles.
• Improvisation: The audition should showcase the applicant's ability to improvise within the chosen style.
• Purpose: The audition assesses proficiency, versatility, and adaptability in contemporary music.
