The Doctor of Philosophy (Creative Multimedia) research program is offered within the Faculty of Creative Multimedia. Our comprehensive research program is tailored to prepare individuals for advanced research in their chosen areas within the realm of creative multimedia. Areas of specialization include but are not limited to animation, digital art, game design, interactive media, virtual reality, multimedia production, and more. Under the guidance of esteemed and active researchers, students will receive rigorous supervision and access to state-of-the-art research facilities. This robust support system ensures that students are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to excel in their research endeavors and ultimately emerge as successful researchers in the field of creative multimedia.

Entry Requirements

  • A Master’s degree (Level 7, MQF) in the field or related field of Creative Multimedia Technology as accepted by MMU Senate, and passing rigorous internal assessment; OR
  • A Master’s degree (Level 7, MQF) in non-related fields as accepted by MMU Senate, and passing rigorous internal assessment; OR
  • A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in the field or related field of Creative Multimedia Technology with minimum CGPA of 3.67 or equivalent as accepted by MMU Senate, and passing rigorous internal assessment
  • Other qualifications equivalent to a Master’s degree (Level 7, MQF) recognised by the Malaysian Government, and passing rigorous internal assessment.
