The Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program at MAHSA University Malaysia is a 5-year program divided into two phases. Phase 1 includes years 1 and 2 and is primarily conducted at the MAHSA University campus, supplemented with clinical exposure at Hospital Tanjung Karang. Phase 2 comprises years 3 to 5 and focuses on clinical training in hospitals such as Hospital Sungai Buloh, Hospital Kuala Lumpur, and Hospital Tanjung Karang. Additionally, students gain clinical experience at Klinik Kesihatan AU2, Rawang Perdana, Taman Ehsan, and Taman Medan, ensuring a diverse range of training in major referral centers, community hospitals, and primary care clinics. Successful completion of the program results in a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. Phase 1 – Preclinical Programme
Phase 1 of MAHSA University's MBBS program is a two-year preclinical phase. It includes teaching basic medical sciences, PPD and ECE modules, PBL sessions, and examinations at the end of each year.
Phase 2 – Clinical Programme
Phase 2 is the clinical phase (years 3 to 5) conducted at government hospitals and health clinics. Students have rotational postings and must pass the Final Professional Examination in year 5 to graduate.
