The Bachelor of Technology (Computer Systems and Networking) program at Curtin University Malaysia prepares students for careers as computer network administrators in modern information systems. With a focus on both wired and wireless networking, the program provides a comprehensive understanding of the industry. The networking laboratory sessions align with industry-standard certification requirements, offering students the opportunity to obtain additional Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certifications. Students acquire skills in network design, management, and the integration of computer hardware, embedded systems, IT, IoT, technical support, real-time systems, software, and telecommunications. The curriculum covers both hardware and software aspects, including operating systems, database systems, hardware fundamentals, electronics, microcomputers, and embedded systems engineering. Optional and elective units from software engineering and cyber security subjects allow students to customize their studies based on their interests and career aspirations.
