What you will learn in a glance?

In the first year, students will gain a foundational understanding of the business environment. They will be introduced to key areas such as management, law, accounting, economics, entrepreneurship, and marketing. Additionally, they will develop essential business and communication skills, computing and IT proficiency, quantitative analysis abilities, and independent learning capabilities. This level aims to provide students with a solid grounding in the theories and practices of business management.

Moving into the second year, Building upon the knowledge acquired in Level 1, students will delve into more advanced subjects. They will explore behavioral science, business ethics, governance, critical thinking in management, and international culture and communications. Furthermore, they will develop a deeper understanding of functional management in various areas. The curriculum will incorporate industry-leading software, supported by SAP, to provide students with hands-on experience in core business processes. Emphasis will be placed on nurturing independent learning skills to prepare students for the workplace and further research.

During the 16-week internship or industrial training, students will have the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in a real-world working environment. This practical training, lasting for a minimum of 16 weeks, is designed to facilitate a smooth transition from the classroom to the professional realm. Students will gain valuable industry experience and develop the necessary skills and competencies required in the workplace.

In the third year, students will focus on tackling practical and contemporary issues in business management. They will develop leadership and strategic management skills with the aim of grooming them as future business leaders. In their final year, students will undertake a project where they will individually explore a specific topic within their chosen area of study. This project serves as a demonstration of their academic and practical abilities, showcasing their expertise in their field of specialization.

Dual Degrees from APU and DMU United Kindom

Students who joined the Bachelor (Hons) in Business Management at APU University Malaysia will have the option to apply for the APU-DMU Dual Degree Scheme. Under this Scheme, students will be able to get 2 Degree Certificates and transcripts upon graduation: 1 from Asia Pacific University (APU), Malaysia, and 1 from De Montfort University (DMU), UK. please note this is optional and costs GBP 375 Per year.
